I am a clinical psychotherapist working with adults, adolescents, and couples in the Bay Area.

About

I am a licensed therapist who works with individuals, adolescents, and couples to navigate challenges and improve their experience of life. My approach is strengths-based and collaborative, combining insight-oriented depth work with practical therapeutic tools. I take an intuitive, thoughtful, and direct approach to therapy, tailoring my work to each client and making room for both sincerity and levity. I am passionate about creating meaningful change, both individually and socially.

I support clients with a range of issues, including anxiety, eating disorders, depression, self-worth, family conflict, and relationship challenges. My experience working with individuals and families experiencing severe mental illness and various risk factors has given me the ability to support people from diverse backgrounds.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the entertainment industry with high-level performers and co-founded a social justice nonprofit. These experiences deepened my interest in performance psychology and led to my specialization in sports and performance therapy, which I practice within a sports psychology group. In addition, I have training in trauma-informed treatment, crisis management, and substance use. I am currently specializing in psychoanalytic psychotherapy which is what I am primarily offering within my practice.

Psychotherapy Services

Adults

Individual psychoanalytic therapy can help you explore how your emotions and relationship patterns may be holding you back, and how to change them. You may be unsure of how to move forward or you may be seeking more meaningful experiences and a deeper understanding of yourself. In our work together, my priority is to build a relationship of trust and support in order to challenge you and help you feel differently in relationships. I am present, curious, and thoughtful in each session, and I enjoy finding creative ways to engage different clients.

Adolescents

Adolescence is a period of significant growth and exploration but it can also bring conflict and emotional changes. Through individual sessions, I help adolescents put words to feelings and make meaning of their experiences. I connect with adolescents through levity, their interests, and listening to them closely. Overtime, they can learn to regulate emotions and communicate through difficulty, which contributes to development of independence and identity. A key part of my adolescent therapy involves parent consultations and parent coaching, which often improves the family system as a whole.

Couples

Couples seek therapy for many reasons—communication breakdowns, unresolved conflicts, mistrust, or feeling disconnected. My approach is relational and supportive as we identify emotions and explore the roots of stuck patterns. This relationship work increases empathy and connection for couples. Depending on the couple’s goals, I like to offer both practical solutions for immediate problem solving and emotionally focused, psychodynamic therapy to improve communication and partnership over time.

FAQ

  • Fees for a 50-minute psychotherapy hour are based on customary rates for therapists in the area with speciality training. Please contact me directly for my current rates. If the cost is a barrier, please let me know as I offer a sliding scale fee depending on availability.

Direct insurance payments are not accepted at this time, but I provide monthly superbills if your health insurance or health savings plan includes out-of-network provider coverage reimbursement. I am happy to help you navigate this process.

  • For new clients, I begin with a free 15-minute consultation call to learn more about you, any presenting issues, and your goals for therapy. If we decide to move forward together, we’ll start with an intake session, followed by weekly or biweekly sessions.

All scheduling, forms, and payments are all managed through SimplePractice, a secure platform.

  • Confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of the therapeutic process, and all information shared in sessions is kept strictly private. However, there are specific legal exceptions, such as instances of potential harm to yourself or others, which will be reviewed during the initial session.

If you have any questions regarding confidentiality and its limitations, they can be discussed at any time.
